Here’s How It Works
- by Angela
Tuesday’s Tip Jar is from your Tuesday Tip to my Tuesday Tip. I am looking for a direct Tuesday Tip link OR a link directly to Blog Mommas Tuesday’s Tip Category from your current Tuesday Tip. If your post has nothing to do with a Tip on Tuesday OR there is no proper link back then your entry gets deleted.
Please do me a favor and only post the name of your blog and/or the title of your post but linking to your Tuesday Tip so people can find it quickly without having to dig through a mess on McLinky. If you link directly back to your Tuesday Tip then people can find you fast, especially when they can’t be here on Tuesdays.
Please don’t post your tip on Friday expecting to link it to Tuesday’s Tip Jar. We picked Tuesday for a reason otherwise we would have called it “The Tip Jar” without even mentioning which day of the week this meme belongs on.
If you decide to post a text link to the keywords “Blog Mommas” – a text link to the keywords “Tuesday’s Tip Jar” – OR post either the Tip Jar Button OR Blog Mommas Button in the side bar of your blog – then you automatically get added to our directory. Dads are welcome too! If I don’t notice that you are linking right away, shoot me a quick note, and let me know that you are so I can get you added to the directory ASAP.
Directory listings automatically get entered into the Blog of the Week drawings. Tell all your blog friends because there are many ways to enter and your entry stays in the hat until you get picked! Fun Stuff!

A sensible person wins admiration, but a warped mind is despised. Better to be an ordinary person with a servant than to be self-important but have no food.
Tuesday’s Tip Jar: Cake Balls
- by Angela
HT: I Am Pooped: Becky Moltumyr’s Cake Ball Recipe – YUM!!!
See that pink thing in the photo inside of that pretty tin foil paper? Well… that’s Becky Moltumyr’s Cake Ball Recipe that she used for the Spring Dinner at church. Let me tell you…it was TO DIE FOR it was SO GOOD.
I wrote and asked her if she would share that with me and she did. I’m so excited because now I have something new to make for special occasions instead of the typical every day desserts.
Pure White Cake Balls/with Cream Cheese Frosting
Duncan Hines White Moist Cake – (uses only egg whites) Follow directions of mixing and baking. Let it sit for ½ hour and then ( I used a cheese slicer) peel off the baked yellowing on top. Slice up the white cake with knives, making sure you don’t cut through all the way to the bottom or too close to the sides, and then scoop it out of the cake pan into a large mixing bowl. Make sure it’s all crumbled, using knives to cut through any large pieces. Add the Cream Cheese Frosting – recipe below. Form into balls and place on a baking sheet in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Melt Candy – (I used the Pink candy disks from Hobby Lobby & Michaels) and dip the balls – let dry and drizzle the top.
Coconut Cheese Frosting
1 8 oz. cream cheese
4 Tablespoons soft butter (Whip these till light and creamy)
1 Tablespoon vanilla
Add 1 cup of powdered sugar
Coconut Variation
Do everything as above except…add a cup of coconut to the cake mix before baking. Add ½ cup to the frosting mix. Spread Coconut in the large jelly roll pan and drop the ball into the coconut immediately after it is dipped in the candy. It hardens very quickly so I just dropped it in and pushed it slightly with a spoon to coat it with coconut.
I will say it AGAIN…these CAKE BALLS are to die for!!!!!!!!!!!!! :]
Now it’s your turn – drop a tip in the jar!
Proverbs 12: 5-7

The plans of the godly are just; the advice of the wicked is treacherous. The words of the wicked are like a murderous ambush, but the words of the godly save lives. The wicked die and disappear, but the family of the godly stands firm.

The Lord approves of those who are good, but he condemns those who plan wickedness. Wickedness never brings stability, but the godly have deep roots.
Quick Recap #3
- by Angela
Today I am writing to you from Las Vegas, Nevada. My BFF and I are celebrating turning the Big Four Oh. Yesterday was her birthday. We are both March babies. We are having a great time. I would have to say that Las Vegas is truly something I cannot really put into words. If you have ever been to Las Vegas I think you probably understand where I’m coming from.
This last week I didn’t really have any new blog entries to introduce you to. My email inbox was empty. All the blogs that were thrown into the hat that haven’t been drawn are still up for a chance to win Blog of the Week! Here’s how it works. Here’s last week’s recap. Tune in to find out who the new Blog of the Week is tomorrow.
