The king speaks with divine wisdom; he must never judge unfairly. The Lord demands accurate scales and balances; he sets the standards of fairness.

Better to have little, with godliness, than to be rich and dishonest. We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.
Pathological Liars vs. Compulsive Liars, Do You Know One?
- by Angela
Do you know someone who lies? Do you have family members who lie? I do. The lying that goes on in my family is horrendous to the point where the lies are destroying lives. They are so good at lying that the lies they have formulated in their mind have twisted into stories that have never happened or situations that are so horribly exaggerated you would never believe such things if you heard them with your own ears.
Have you ever played a game in your childhood where everyone sits in a big circle and whispers something in someone’s ear and the words that were whispered get passed on to the next person, the next, and then the next until the words arrive back at the first person that started the message? By the time the message has arrived back to the first person the story has been twisted to say something totally different. That’s a type of lie too.
What is the Difference Between a Pathological, a Compulsive, a Chronic, and a Habitual Liar?
Pathological Liar: A pathological liar is usually defined as someone who lies incessantly to get their way and does so with little concern for others. Pathological lying is often viewed as coping mechanism developed in early childhood and it is often associated with some other type of mental health disorder. A pathological liar is often goal-oriented (i.e., lying is focused – it is done to get one’s way). Pathological liars have little regard or respect for the rights and feelings of others. A pathological liar often comes across as being manipulative, cunning and self-centered.
Compulsive Liar: A compulsive liar is defined as someone who lies out of habit. Lying is their normal and reflexive way of responding to questions. Compulsive liars bend the truth about everything, large and small. For a compulsive liar, telling the truth is very awkward and uncomfortable while lying feels right. Compulsive lying is usually thought to develop in early childhood, due to being placed in an environment where lying was necessary. For the most part, compulsive liars are not overly manipulative and cunning (see, Pathological Liar), rather they simply lie out of habit – an automatic response which is hard to break and one that takes its toll on a relationship (see, how to cope with a compulsive liar).
The terms Habitual Liar and Chronic Liar are often used to refer to a Compulsive Liar.
I know someone that lies in order to convince people that they are something or somebody that they are not. This same person lies and manipulates others to try and get them to do or say whatever it is she needs them to do in order to make herself correct in the moment when deep down she knows what the truth is and she knows how morally wrong she is behaving. Do you know someone like that? If so, I’d love to hear from you. I’d also like to know how to deal with someone like that because sometimes the lies can be so bad that lives can be altered and destroyed. To me, a person like that needs to be cut off. What do you think?
Proverbs 16: 6-7
- by Angela
Unfailing love and faithfulness make atonement for sin. By fearing the Lord, people avoid evil. When people’s lives please the Lord, even their enemies are at peace with them.
Proverbs 16: 4-5
- by Angela
The Lord has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster. The Lord detests the proud; they will surely be punished.
Proverbs 16: 1-3
- by Angela
We can make our own plans, but the Lord gives the right answer. People may be pure in their own eyes, but the Lord examines their motives. Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.
