Hope Filled Mom – Relying on God Every Second of Everyday
Hope Filled Mom has two really cool posts up right now: Confused and My Confidence In God
I am putting you guys in my prayer book. I have one of those now. I didn’t used to until Becky Tirabassi came to speak at my church last month. Not only do I pray every single day but I write down everybody I am praying for and a quick note of why so I can be reminded of what to pray for.
Every morning before I get up I do my best to try and read the section for that day. I have the Change Your Life Daily Bible, the entire Bible organized into 365 daily readings that will set your heart on fire and change your life forever. What’s cool about it is that it’s sectioned off. You get a reading from the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalm and Proverbs. I am obsessed with Proverbs. (Have you noticed I do my best to post those daily? Well now you know how come.)
So with this Bible I picked up the My Partner Prayer Notebook. It also came with Becky Tirabassi’s book called: Let Prayer Change Your Life. It’s really changed my life since I began this program of meeting with God before I start my day. I haven’t been able to get up as early as I would like the last few days because I have been super sick. Maybe the next time you are making a prayer list you can pray for me. My deal is I’ve been having a lot of dizziness going on. Ok now I’m really rambling.
I don’t believe God gives us anything that we can’t handle. One of my favorite bible verses is the one about persevering through our trials. I wish I could remember the verse. I have it highlighted in my NIV Bible but that’s all the way down stairs and there is no way I’m getting up to go get it.
Just know that God is always up to something and God is always Good. God is Love. He’s got great plans for us and no matter what happens we get to experience the end result and how Awesome is THAT gonna be?
I understand how you feel. It’s easy to be criticized and judged by others, especially fellow believers. We just have to keep it together and try very hard not to do what we ourselves don’t like. I know it’s easier said than done. Nobody is perfect. There is not a single one of us that is good. We are all sinners.
Non-believers think we are supposed to be these “perfect” “do-gooders” who “never make mistakes” and “never do anything wrong.” It’s just not true. Not true at all. I am grateful for the first few chapters of the book of Romans. Our church has been doing a study on that book and it has really opened up my eyes to A LOT.
Ok.. so this was an introduction to your blog. Fun, huh? I hope people will stop by your blog Hope Filled Mom and read up! You got some good stuff going on over there.
BTW, I hope you don’t mind if I enter you into this week’s drawing for Blog of the Week.
I can’t wait to meet the rest of you guys that have stumbled onto Blog Mommas. Who’s up next?
